In March of 2017, Mahogany Hudgins knew that to be happy she had to change what she was doing, and start doing what she loved; interacting with people and serving them good, hot food. So, she took a leap of faith, quit her job, and invested in a food truck.

Earlier this year, she was referred to LAUNCH. Admittedly, after having had a meeting with Marco, she says he had a series of questions that she was unable to answer right away. Resistant to taking a class, she ended up signing up for LAUNCH’s 10-week Business Entrepreneurship Academy.

While taking the class, Mahogany says she never felt uncomfortable, only motivated. “My business was already operating when I started LAUNCH. The course was worth my time as I learned how to manage product costs, caring for each customer, and business management skills. My classmates were so supportive of each other and we still keep in touch. We started as individuals with goals and are now family with growing and successful businesses.”

With her food truck Wings Top Tots, Mahogany provides delicious, never frozen, chicken wings tossed in different homemade sauces and rubs. She also has tater tots that come with a variety of toppings like chili, cheese, bacon, and more.

Why a food truck? Mahogany says she has always loved cooking, and she enjoys being mobile with the food truck so she can come to you. “I am going to continue pursuing each area of Chattanooga until everyone knows Wings Top Tots Food Truck has the best wings in the city.”
