“LAUNCH has been a true asset by putting everything into perspective, providing mentorship, being there to answer questions and assisting in areas where you are weak.”
When LAUNCH entrepreneur Cheri Hudgins found a healthy lifestyle, she knew she wanted to share her success with those who struggled to find balance and stay on the right track. Through Perfect Portions by Cheri, she aims to offer customers convenience that often does not come with healthy, nutritious foods by taking the guesswork out of eating correctly and being able to 'grab and go.
“Being my own boss and having my own business has always been in my blood,” Cheri says. After graduating from Tennessee State University with a degree in Business Administration and Management, Cheri put her own business on hold to help with her mother's dream. Together they worked on starting an assisted living facility and home care service for the elderly and disabled.
After hearing from a friend about the LAUNCH Business Entrepreneurship Academy and having found success with her own 150lb weight loss, Cheri decided it was time to focus on her own business again and signed up.
“LAUNCH put me back on track. When you’re out of school for so long, you tend to forget things you don't use,” Cheri explains. “LAUNCH has been a true asset by putting everything into perspective, providing mentorship, being there to answer questions and assisting in areas where you are weak.”
Currently, Cheri not only prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner but preps snacks too! She says through her services and meals, “There will be no need to go to the grocery store to shop or stop at that fast food place only to regret it later.” With a 24 hour turnaround for meals, newly offered vegetarian meals, plans to offer family sized meals, as well as expanding her brand by teaching lifestyle classes in 2018, Cheri is already growing faster than she anticipated, but feels her work is a ministry. “I know that the sky's the limit. I want to help people change their lifestyle, and achieve financial freedom for myself.”
