The bottle and the brush: Uptown Art comes to Chattanooga

Glass of wine? Check. Paintbrush in hand? Check.

Another wine-infused art class business is set to open in Chattanooga. Uptown Art will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, July 13 at the corner of the Market Street Bridge and Frazier Avenue. A chapter of a national franchise, the business concept is similar to Brush Paint and Sip, with which Chattanoogans have been familiar for a little more than a year: Pick the painting you want to create, bring your own beverage and food, and enjoy a few hours of step-by-step art instruction.
