CHA Gives
One of the things we're grateful for this season, and all year round for that matter, is our city. While Giving Tuesday is a global initiative, Chattanooga comes together to make sure area non-profits have the spotlight on that day, creating the #CHAgives movement.
Set for tomorrow, Tuesday, November 27th, #CHAgives takes place after Black Friday and Cyber Monday with the idea that after two days of getting deals, there is also a day to honor giving back.
On this day we hope you will consider a donation to LAUNCH CHA. When you support our work, you support underserved entrepreneurs, their families and your community. Since 2011, 381 entrepreneurs have been trained, 231 businesses have been started or strengthened, and 285 jobs have been created. That's amazing right? Well, there's more.
74% of the businesses we support LAUNCH are minority-owned, and 65% are women-owned.
Then there's our High School Program. 572 high school students in 8 public schools have been equipped with the tools to be an entrepreneur. Students who participate in the programearn a 29% higher GPA, have a 24% higher graduation rate, and are 77% more likely to pursue business or entrepreneurship in the future.
